The Graphic Design School
In 2021, I completed a comprehensive 12-module, tutor-guided online design program at the Graphic Design School in Australia. This program included an in-depth study of various aspects of graphic design, such as design history, design theory, colour theory, illustration, typography, logo development, graphic illustration, layout design, photography, and package design.
Package Design
The aim of this project was to develop a package design system for a product line. I designed a system for a fictitious milk company offering various milk types in returnable bottles. The design emphasized simplicity through colour, making the bottles and brand easily
recognizable among the numerous options in stores.
Each colour was chosen to represent a specific milk type, while the icons were inspired by simple pictograms from early agricultural civilizations.
Brand Design
For a corporate branding exercise, I developed a comprehensive identity package for a fictitious rail company. The logo features a train emerging from a tunnel, with elements that can be deconstructed and used across various brand graphics. The colour scheme combines red and blue, reminiscent of Canadian symbols, to create an elegant purple. A subtle red represents Canada, while yellow symbolizes the lights of the cities served by the company.
Layout Design
As part of a layout design exercise, I designed a sample cover and article for a magazine using my text, photo, and graphics.
